STEP 3: Other Items to Bring
Please also bring the following to your appointment:
- Any recent medical reports such as xray, ultrasound, CT or MRI’s
- the shoes you most commonly wear
- Any previous orthotics or other foot related devices
- Some form of payment (see note below). We accept: Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard and American Express
STEP 4: Payment & Private Medical Insurance
PODIATRY IS NOT A COVERED SERVICE BY MSP OF BC, therefore all BC Podiatrists are private pay.
We bill patients at the time of service and provide documentation for submission to private health insurance if applicable. We offer direct billing to MOST private health insurance companies for select services. Please refer to our Insurance Policy Form for details.
Our rates are the same regardless of insurance coverage or lack thereof. In most cases, patients with private medical insurance have coverage for a variety of podiatry services. If your extended insurer requires so, you are responsible for all authorizations/referrals needed to seek treatment in this office. If your insurer denies our ability to direct bill for any reason, all charges for your treatment are due at the time of service and we will provide you with a receipt which may be used for submission to your insurer. We recommend contacting your insurance provider in advance for more specific coverage details.
