Dr. Sarah Pope
DPM, DABPM, M.Ed.
Dr. Pope is a board-certified podiatrist with a special interest in the non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions.
Dr. Pope hails from the metro Detroit area. She attended Ohio Northern University for her undergraduate studies, earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a dual major in Biology and Sports Medicine. While working as a certified athletic trainer, she attended Bowling Green State University, where she studied Developmental Kinesiology with a concentration in sport psychology. Her master’s research focused on the direction and intensity of somatic state anxiety in whitewater kayakers.
After working with the athletic teams of Oberlin College and having developed a close relationship with the team physicians at the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Pope earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She then completed a three-year surgical residency at McLaren Oakland Regional Medical Center.
An avid skier, Dr. Pope spent many weekends in Ontario with friends and family. She skied at Blue Mountain and Beaver Valley Ski Club and trained and raced with the Southern Ontario Division 2 ski team. Although she no longer races, she continues to enjoy time on the slopes.
Dr. Pope is looking forward to a new adventure in Langley with Aurora Foot and Ankle Clinic. She hopes to use her diverse background and experience to help you function better and more pain free.
